Ricochet Steals Ex-WWE Star Zach Gowen's Prosthetic Leg On Collision (AEW News)
AEW boss Tony Khan has announced that Zach Gowen vs. Ricochet is now official for Dynamite.

AEW star Ricochet has been making some headlines recently. The man's heel character on Tony Khan's programming has given him an on-screen boost, but it's events happening off-air via social media that got everybody talking ahead of a special Thursday night episode of Collision.
WWE NXT star Je'Von Evans deleted his posts shortly afterwards, but he went back and forth with Rico on X and even called Khan "a crackhead" during their verbal spat. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and everybody managed to calm down after that.
On Collision, Ricochet trolled ex-WWE man Zach Gowen by stealing his leg following a routine win over Angelico in the opening match. Grabbing a mic, the heel ridiculed Gowen's WWE run and then started fighting with security. That eventually led to Zach hitting the ring, Rico stealing his prosthetic leg, and then the villain strolling off up the ramp holding it.
This was obviously treated as a heinous act by AEW's announce squad. Being honest, the timing couldn't have been better - Ricochet had been jawing off with a WWE star on socials, and now here he was literally stealing Gowen's limb and leaving him helpless.
Zach Gowen Will Wrestle Ricochet On The 14 May Dynamite

It wasn't long before Tony Khan announced that Zach will get his revenge (in theory) on the 14 May edition of flagship show Dynamite. There, Gowen vs. Ricochet has been made official. That episode is a special 'Beach Break' Dynamite too.
Zach Gowen burst onto the mainstream scene back in 2003 when he appeared as a planted "fan" on episodes of WWE television. His 15 minutes of fame included matches against Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar and even a young John Cena. Originally, Zach was there as a huge Hulk Hogan/Mr. America fan, which raised the ire of McMahon.
Since then, Gowen has capitalised on his WWE stint by working matches for everyone from ROH and TNA to countless companies on the independent circuit. Now, he's set to wrestle for All Elite in a featured spot against one of the promotion's lightning rod heels. That's a decent spot to be in, all things considered.
Ricochet left Zach laying in the ring with only one leg. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll still be carrying the prosthetic limb come Dynamite, or if Gowen will get it back. Wrestling fans should just be thankful that this isn't 2000-era WCW and Vince Russo isn't booking. If he was, then you just know that leg would be on a pole!
