8 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 10)

Downs…

6. More Crews/MVP

Apollo Crews MVP

Let’s just establish right away that MVP has been a solid addition to the WWE roster since his return. The dude can talk and is an ideal stable leader – but strictly as a manager.

It’s clear that MVP has slowed down over time, and he shouldn’t be competing for a brand’s secondary title, at least not repeatedly.

The idea that MVP would want the United States Championship he held a decade-plus ago makes sense, but this feud with Apollo Crews isn’t gelling how it should – mainly because it falls apart in the ring. After MVP lost to Crews last week, that should have marked the end of the feud, with Porter turning to Bobby Lashley to capture the title at SummerSlam.

But no, the feud must continue, with past-his-prime MVP competing when he should be guiding his charges to titles.
