10 Upcoming Games That Have Already Made One HUGE Mistake

These games might've doomed themselves already.

The average video game is such a colossal undertaking, requiring dozens or even hundreds, even thousands of people to spend years bringing it to fruition, before it's sent out into the world to flourish or flounder.

But sometimes a game comes to market and it's clear that the team has made one massive mistake - a gaffe which could perhaps even taint the general perception of the game forever more.

And that's certainly true of these 10 upcoming video games, each of which are some of the most buzzed-about due for release, even though they've already taken at least one massive risk.

Now, do these apparent mistakes meant that these games are doomed to fail? Certainly not - they can still thrive on the basis of their superior gameplay elsewhere, for sure.

But each will nevertheless face a struggle selling players on these design choices, gameplay elements, and creative decisions, none of which paint a particularly flattering picture from the outset.

And so, here's to hoping that these games can all overcome these considerable obstacles and deliver on their potential. But as ever, you're best to temper your expectations...

10. That Terrible Title - Fairgame$

The moment that Sony announced their new live-service co-op heist shooter Fairgame$, it left itself wide-open to ridicule from the masses because of the groan-worthy inclusion of a dollar sign in the game's title - a rather cringe-worthy affectation which instantly turned many against it.

If nothing else, Sony were practically asking people to mockingly call it "Fairgame dollar sign" from the jump.

It's a bad look that becomes a worse look considering that, in the eyes of some, Fairgame$ is already just another live-service cash-grab from Sony that's quite likely to be short-lived.

But beyond this, the terrible title just makes Fairgame$ sound like it's trying to be "down with the kids" - and not even the kids of 2025, but the kids of 2010, who are now among the many adults that find this all very ridiculous.

And this is all without getting into the numerous reports of the game's troubled development, resulting in it recently being delayed to 2026. Oh, and we haven't seen a single shred of gameplay yet despite the reveal trailer dropping more than two years ago.
