10 Actors Who Had INSANE Careers Before Movies
Channing Tatum had the best practice for Magic Mike before he was famous.

In most cases, the world of acting is one of the most difficult lines of work to break into. Naturally, there is an immeasurable amount of people pushing to get in while there is only room for a fraction of a percentage of them. If that.
Of course, there are those who get into the industry as child stars, and go on to earn a living that way until they retire. Outside of these young actors however, the bills need to be paid before that first gig comes along.
The majority will have worked relatively standard, boring jobs pre-fame and fortune. It's not uncommon for aspiring actors to move out to L.A. and wait tables, or to work any job they can get their hands on. They are, after all, human beings, but not everyone's career was so boring before making it big.
While others were working as waiters, the names on this list earned their money as professional athletes, armadillo exterminators, and even lion tamers. They may be normal just like anyone else, but their CVs are anything but.
10. Whoopi Goldberg Was A Mortuary Beautician

Not only can Whoopi Goldberg boast an outstanding career spanning decades, she is a fantastic comedy writer, she is seen on daily TV in the US on The View, and has an Oscar win to her name for her role in Ghost in 1991.
On top of all of that, she is also a trained beautician, something that she put to use in a very specific way before she was famous. Most people with such qualifications would use them while dealing with the living, but Whoopi Goldberg went in a different direction, working in the morgue.
The nature of such a job would make it seem like an incredibly difficult thing to do, but you can also imagine it being rewarding in helping to give people the best send-off possible. It would have helped that the future Oscar winner looked at it with a wonderful sense of humour, as she once told David Letterman.
To come out of situations like that and still be able to tell a funny story with a smile on her face says a lot about her character, however no matter how much she says she enjoyed the work, it's hard to imagine it comparing with being a movie star.
